The Small Business Administration has tips on starting and managing a business, available loans and grants, contracting opportunities, and online and local trainings. If you own or are thinking about owning a small business, start here to learn how to make the most out of legislation!

The Women's Business and Training Center has worked with the Chamber on many trainings and seminars. They provide workshops, business coaching, networking opportunities, and assistance in obtaining financing to new and existing women-owned businesses in West Virginia.  In addition the Center provides training for employees and potential employees.

New River Community and Technical College has also partnered with the Chamber on many seminars and trainings. With a campus located just blocks from the Chamber, NRCTC has a Center for Workforce Education that provides community education, workforce education, and continuing education for professionals and individuals.

SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and helping small businesses start, grow, and succeed nationwide. SCORE also provides local workshops and events throughout the country to connect small business owners with the people and information they need to start, grow, and maintain their businesses, as well as online workshops available 24/7. SCORE provides resources, templates and tools to assist entrepreneurs in developing tools and plans they need to navigate their way to small business success.

The West Virginia Chamber is our state’s largest, most visible advocacy organization promoting and working for more employment and a constantly improved way of life for West Virginia families. They work to make West Virginia a better place to do business by giving private-sector employers a voice in state politics and protecting business interests before regulatory bodies, the Legislature, and the courts.
