The Greenbrier Valley is a wonderful place to be! Our area has many developments and the Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce is proud of the achievements in the Greenbrier Valley. Listed below are some major developments in the area.
- The Greenbrier Hotel – The Tavern Casino is now open and will serve as the property’s introductory gaming facility until the highly anticipated new, underground Casino at The Greenbrier officially debuts in April of 2010, Prime 44 West Steakhouse is now open, and The Greenbrier Classic scheduled for July 26-August 1. http://www.greenbrier.com/site/
- WVSOM – The largest medical school in West Virginia with 777 students . For the last 11 years U.S. News & World Report Magazine’s annual “Best Graduate Schools” edition ranked WVSOM among the top medical schools in America educating students for the practice of primary care medicine and practice in medically underserved and rural areas.
The new Clinical Evaluation Center (CEC) is one of most technologically advanced medical education facilities in the U.S. providing learning opportunities using simulated patients (robots) and standardized patients (area residents turned actors) who present assigned medical conditions to the students. Students learn skills working with live “patients” and treating simulated ones that react to a variety of treatments, medications and testing. - Greenbrier County Schools, in partnership with E.T. Boggess, Architects, announces the launch of its school building projects website. The website has been developed as a tool to keep the public informed and updated about the new school construction and renovation projects currently underway in Greenbrier County.
